Common Final Product - eBook

Objective:

Create a collaborative photo portfolio showcasing the project.

Activities:

Students' photographs and descriptions are published in an e-book and on the project blog.

Conduct project activities with communication and collaboration. Help students develop social skills and language abilities.

Task Distribution:

Teachers: Guide the compilation of the portfolio and ensure all content is included.

Students: Select their best photos and write personal reflections.

Result:

This e-book is the final product of the eTwinning project "Nature's Nurture".

As the final joint product, an e-book containing the students' work and explanations was created.

This e-book consists of nature photographs and presentations taken by project members.

Students worked in communication and collaboration in this project, thus improving their social skills and language abilities.

The book is a "Nature Guide" containing the works of the project members.

Babaeski 

Babaeski is a district of Kırklareli in the Thrace part of the Marmara Region. It is neighboring Tekirdağ and Edirne. Agriculture and industry are the main sources of income. The district's lands are in the Ergene Plain and there are few mountains. In the north of the district, there are extensions of the Yıldız Mountains, whose heights do not exceed 150 m. Wearing a Martenitsa

While wearing a Martenitsa rope, good wishes such as health, luck, abundance, and prosperity are made, it cannot be worn without making a wish. If the person wearing a Martenitsa sees a stork, they take off the bracelet and hang it on the branch of any flowering plant or tree, praying for health.

Spring Festivals

Hıdırellez festivities are celebrated every year on May 5-6. On this special day, people celebrate the arrival of spring, organize festivities, and celebrate Hıdırellez. Colorful ropes and ribbons are hung on the branches of the rose tree. Wishes are written on the end of the ribbon. Wishes are made, prayers are said. A fire is lit and people jump over it.They leave their wishes symbolically under the rose tree. Local dishes are cooked.

Kakava Hıdırellez Festivals, held in Edirne every year on May 5-6, are one of the most important elements of our historical and cultural heritage. This festival, which heralds the arrival of spring, is of great importance as a tradition with its rituals that have been going on for centuries. It is on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List

Photography Terms:

Image: It is a visual representation of an edited photo.

Composition:It is an impressive technique used in editing a photo. It uses the subject and background of the photo to ensure the integrity of the photo.

Toning: It is a technique used to edit a photograph. There are two important types of toning: intensity toning and color toning.

Makeup: It is a technique used to edit a photo. It increases the contrast of certain parts of a photo to make them look better.

Contrast: It is used to increase the difference between colors in a photograph.

Crop:It is used to extract a specific part of a photo.

Filter:It is used to create a certain effect on the photo.

Exposure:Determines how much light the photo will be exposed to.

Saturation:Used to adjust the intensity of colors in a photo.

Resize:Used to change the dimensions of the photo.

Framing: Using part of an image for a purpose, correcting the composition or fitting an image into an existing space or form, framing.

Safer Internet Day (February 11, 2025)

Safer Internet Day Event:

An online meeting was held with the project partners via Zoom on February 11, 2025, as a Safer Internet Day event.

Project partner teachers and students attended the meeting.

Students made presentations on safe use of the internet, creating strong passwords and social engineering.

Students played kahoot about safe use of the internet.

Activity 1: Introduction & Icebreaking Activities

An online meeting was held with the project partners via Zoom on February 10, 2025.

Project partner teachers and students attended the meeting.

Information was given about the project objectives, timeline and expected results.

Ice breaking activities were carried out.

Small mixed groups consisting of students from different schools were formed for collaborative activities.

Teachers and students met at the event. 

Communication and cooperation were achieved.
